Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina is about to unveil the latest yachting innovation.

For some years, it has been creating a unique hub made of pioneering entrepreneurs, startups, financial investors, marina developers, architects and other meaningful actors to debate about the future of yachting upon sustainable foundations. On the 22nd and 23rd September 2024 the Monaco Marina Management (M3) will organize at the Yacht Club de Monaco the 4th edition of the Monaco Smart & Sustainabl Marina Rendezvous. The event is expected to host more than 250 participants from all over the world.


Technology, Innovation, Blue Economy are the pillars of this initiative. José Marco Casellini, CEO of Monaco Marina Management pointed out: "The creativity, engagement, solutions and expertise of participant is absolutely essential if we want to design the marinas of tomorrow".


As a matter of fact, the yaching technology advancement is making great strides in knowledge towards a more eco-conscious approach supported by environmentally friendly design, the use of alternative fuels and a new regulatory framework.

Bernard D'Alessandri, President of Cluster Yachting Monaco and General Secretary of the Yacht Club de Monaco highlighted: "As in the automotive industry (...), yachting must integrate technological innovations to meet the needs of tomorrow's yachts. (...) It is essential to mobilize all stakeholders, from yacht designers to marina managers, to ensure a transition to a smarter and more sustainable yachting".



The annual rendez-vous are officially supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation promoting Monaco as the Capital of Advanced Yachting and by the Gouvernement Princier sposoring Extended Monaco, a pioneering Digital Transition Programme involving the whole Monegasque territory.

Since its first edition in 2021, a parade of skilled speakers animate conferences and workshops focused on technology, banking and architectural design. In this edition the networking platform will allow more than 250 professionals to unveil the latest innovations conceived by start ups and scale ups.


The International Smart and Sustainable Marina Awards is an added value to showcase the best of eco-design and sustainable marinas management worlwide. The Ceremony will be held on the 23rd September 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The 4th edition is about to focus on climate mitigation and sustainable coastal development floating infrastructures, including innovative devices resulting from the sinergy between a pool of 38 architects and smart students. About 15 projects are being examined by an international Technical Jury chaired by Effie Nakajima, from the pretigious Zaha Hadid Architects firm, and made of renowned experts like the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and the yach designer Dan Lenard.


The Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Renddezvous is being attracting a growing number of participants and followers. New strategic actors have announced their attendance to this year's edition, notably the Italian Yacht Masters Association, representing the Italian superyacht industry, and Sanlorenzo Yacht unveiling the 50Steel Almax, the first super vessel to be equipped with Reformer – Fuel Cell modular system, an innovative green methanol converter able to produce hydrogen and power to cover the vessel's hospitality, wihout the need to storage hydrogen on board.
