The focal point of this seventieth edition included also electric trucks and other working vehicles besides the latest news in terms of electric city cars, luxury cars and supercars. The KEV YoYo futuristic 100% electric microcar, stood out for the compact and cheeky design and easy to recharge thanks to movable batteries. A world premiere addressed to new generations from the age of sixteen.
A parade of further four and two-wheel vehicles showed off their best livery on EVER Monaco ‘green carpet’. Power at low consumption was the common ‘password’ throughout the exhibitors. To name a few it was possible to admire Kia Nero, the up-coming hybrid crossover. Mercedes GLB kicked off the 7-seater electric SUV era for the renowned German brand. Audi, FIAT, Jeep, Porsche and Suzuki were there to present the new generation of hybrid and electric cars. A strong signal that reaffirms the growing trend to choose cars and vehicles with a reduced impact on the environment, as predicted by recent statistics (BloombergNEF).
At the same time, startups pitches, lunch-debates, and several panels debated on electromobility and the most relevant pillars of the energy transition from the mouth of academics, politicians and entrepreneurs. Formula E warmed up the batteries while MONACO E-KART CHAMPIONSHIP was officially presented by Clivio Piccione, Monegasque race car driver.
