When contemporary art meets the latest digital innovation new horizons generate unexpected emotions. The great combination is expected to take life at the pre-view opening of 'PHYSYS and RENDERING', the new solo exhibition by Vincenzo Marsiglia, that will be held at Visionarea Art Space (Piazza Pia, 1 - Rome) on the 31st January 2023. The artistic journey, designed by Davide Silvioli in partnership with Davide Sarchioni, is sponsored by nm contemporary well-established gallery based in Monaco to enhance the best of the Italian Contemporary Art.

The training of the artist and his multidisciplinary background lead him to experience new techniques, materials and devices able to convey messages through an accurate symbolism, inspired by Abstraction and Minimalism. His attendance to the 17th edition of Venice Architecture Biennale with 'Kaleidoscope', installed at the Italian Pavilion devoted to "Comunità Resilienti" (Resilient Communities), showed the attention of the artist for the enhancement of the great Italian historical and natural heritage, perfectly integrated in ancient villages.
In this new setting, in particular, the artist offers a balance between holographic NFT (non-fungible token) and digital photographs, augmented reality and HoloLens glasses to allow visitors to see first-hand the transition between digital and real. The exhibition embodies the spirit of the multi-year collections by Vincenzo Marsiglia, notably: "Fold", "Modus", "Star stone", "Prospect" (2021 Monaco Art Week), up to latest hight-tech outcomes of visual art.

PHYSYS and RENDERING by Vincenzo Marsiglia
Open to the public: from the 1st February until the 25th March 2023.
Organized with the support of the Fondazione Cultura e Arte, an instrumental body of the Fondazione Terzo Pilastro - Internazionale, chaired by Prof. Avv. Emmanuele F. M. Emanuele.

EPISODE 7: What does Urban Functional Biodiversity refer to?
How do you feel when you come into contact with the green spaces of your city? Maybe more relaxed, regenerated and energetic! it is not by chance. #Urban Functional #Biodiversity is about various natural #species and their specific functional traits (e.g., nitrogen fixation, pollination, water retention) that maintain #ecosystems and provide essential #services in heavily populated areas. Boosting #climate regulation, favouring flood #control, reducing #pollution, providing recreational spaces and improving human #wellbeing, resilience and health are some of the most significant #benefits they generate.
Being inspired by #Nature’s balance helps #architects, #designers and urban #planners to select vegetation able to optimises specific ecological functions, such as #water infiltration or biodiversity support. Integrating interconnected #green spaces (e.g.: parks, green roofs) and #blue spaces (ponds, wetlands) promotes #habitat connectivity and strengthens urban biodiversity. Moreover, engaging local residents and stakeholders in the planning and management of urban nature, encourages a shared vision of the development of densely inhabited areas, boosting mental and physical health.
Main Strategies for Enhancing Urban Functional Biodiversity are:
· Biodiversity-Sensitive Design]: that is integrating native, multi-functional plant species into urban design, including vertical gardens and green roofs.
· Ecological Restoration: that is actively restoring urban green and blue spaces to enhance habitat diversity and ecological function.
· Inclusive Governance: that is engaging local residents and stakeholders in the planning and management of urban nature.
