‘Frammenti in Divenire’: a new art approach towards a Sustainable Tomorrow.

Updated: Sep 10, 2023

« “Frammenti in divenire” (Fragments in the making) comes from one of the many ideas that animated the afternoons spent with the Master Sculptor Franco Alessandria. This installation tries to give an answer to the constant desire of creating a work of art through the continuous referral to another », highlighted exclusively Antonio Salinari, traditional and digital sculptor of wood, trainer and former engineer. The artist unveiled exclusively for MonacoEcoArt his philosophy of creation in view of the upcoming projects: « Thus, an open work is going to be born through its infinite possible variations, tending to perfection, constantly in expansion and always ready to incorporate a further sculpture. The latter constitutes just a portion of the "whole", which becomes wider and wider and expandable».

The author therefore considers each piece of material as identifying elements of modernity. Our modern world, in fact, develops under the sign of dispersion, the explosion of meaning while multiplying perspectives. Salinari thinks of a modern world made of crazy fragments that replace contemplation with distracted fruition but from them we can unlock emancipated potential», These crazy pieces are looking for a unity in order to put them in connection with each other to achieve the original sense, even temporary. In other words, they are fragments in progress that can guarantee the possibility of orienting ourselves in the chaos.

The artist comes to the conclusion that «fragments are, on the one hand, products of consumerism, fashion and mechanisation, on the other hand, they are also promise of the future».

The new “Frammenti in divenire” approach allows Antonio Salinari to experience even more towards a contemporary knowhow, specifically addressed to the new generations. The ability to work with different materials, tools, dimensions and techniques, from tradition to innovation up to the latest digital technology in the footsteps of the new role played by Art that increasingly passes from representation to action in symbiosis with Nature. «My open art is constantly trying to pull out the childish side that is inside of all of us, rediscovering a part of us lost in time. Every single sculpture takes into consideration accessibility: the gestures of this child are very simple, deliberately naive, but universal; any person in any part of the world can understand those gestures, which symbolise an

essential binomial to tackle the challenges of today: Sustainability and Contribution».

Salinari’s intimate reflections are then rooted in concrete actions that aim to produce a short-term social and cultural change to regain the most authentic sense of happiness, based on true emotions and experiences in contact with wildlife, an ancestral need that is returning as primary. ***
