A new environmentally friendly engaging evening event is about to land at the new Larvotto promenade (Rose des Vents side) . The Green Shift Festival will be held for the first time from the 7th until the 10th June 2023. by the will of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. This multilayer cultural kermesse open to the large public with free access, every day from 7:00 p.m.until 8:30 p.m., combining performances, short films and round tables, focused on the ecological commitment.
A proactive partnership with key actors like the Direction des Affaires culturelles, the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco, the Fondation Carmignac, Imagine 2050, Time for the Ocean, Agir pour le Vivant and the Académie monégasque de la mer, aims at creating an easy-going environment where to debate about environmental issues through a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to raise awareness and increase a community eco-responsibility.
Olivier Wenden, Vice-President and CEO of the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco, highlighted : « The Green Shift Festival starts from a crucial question: how to trigger a real change in the way of considering the world and thinking about it? Science is essential to face environmental challenges, but the scientific message does not arouse adequate involvement outside the circle of scientists. Emotion, creation and art are powerful levers to project ourselves into a desirable future. An approach at the heart of the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco mission». ***
