Monaco Energy Storage Forum: the future of energy starts in the Principality.

Monaco is shifting to a 100% energy-efficient territory aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050. Transport, buildings and energy consumption saving are prior within the Governmental agenda, pushing on renewables which already cover 65,5% of Monegasque demands (2022), with the aim to reach 75% by 2030.

On the 23rd January 2026 the first edition of the Monaco Energy Storage Forum 2026, will be held at One-Montecarlo Congress Centre. The event, promoted by the Blue Alliance Foundation, a philanthropic body addressed to protect natural ecosystems and promote eco-responsibility, will gather leading institutions, global industry players, financial experts, utilities, and technology innovators to share visions, experiences, and strategies on the future of energy storage, renewables, and digital grid technologies.

The debate will encourage interstate collaboration to foster networking and investments in order to make Monaco a strategic hub in view of fulfilling sustainable targets like reducing CO2 emissions, while improving energy resilience and storage capability, that is the ability to ensure reliable power delivery for essential services, for the benefit of society and the economy, within the maximum amount of energy a device or a system can hold.

This high-profile meeting, in particular, aims at deepening how Battery Energy Storage Systems - BESS (devices that use large batteries to store electricity, making it available when needed) and digital platforms can support grid stability and flexibility. It will also explore how to guarantee energy efficiency, carbon footprint and ROI - Return on Investment - while envisaging the role Monaco could play to promote clean energy projects, in close relation with decision-makers, global manufacturers and institutional actors.

A series of technical roundtables, involving key actors like the Monaco Economic Board, SMEG, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer - SBM, and other panellists, will seek to create synergies between the public and private sectors with a problem-solving and case study approach. Deye Technology Co., leading company in solar inverters, ESS (=energy storage system) batteries, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers, will unveil their latest technologies within the one-day rendezvous. ***
