Round Table, Clean Mobility, Energy Transition and New Technologies, in one word EVER Monaco, a multi-layer event that is being held on the 11th (today) and the 12th (tomorrow) May 2023 at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille. A sustainable hub that is showcasing the latest technologies in the Exhibition area which can be tested in the Ride & Drive section hosting over forty different models, with a view to new ideas and solutions offered by the Startups. In this context, The Concours Métha-Europe, supported by EVER and SMEG, plays the role of a prior incubator and it offers the next generation the chance to express themselves and be awarded as the most promising outcomes. The most topical issues are debated by experts within the Conference Section. NFT & Metaverse, Electric Sport Cars and Sustainable Aviation are among the main novelties of this edition.

H.E. Bernard Fautrier, President of EVER Monaco, pointed out: « For the first time, EVER Monaco will take place in two days including a great networking soirée evening. Since 2006 (note: EVER foundation), we have been promoting meaningful solutions that can be considered nowadays as a daily reality, fostered by the energy crisis. The 18th edition of EVER Monaco will allow us to continue exploring the future of our mobility and the energy ecosystem around it. Since September 2022, sales of electric cars have been exceeding diesel vehicles on the French market, on a monthly basis. (...) EVER Monaco is more than ever an ideal platform to promote means of transport and low-carbon energies ».
Thanks to the partnership with IMT (Institut-Mines Télécom), MonacoTech, and the CSM (Scientific Center of Monaco) the "Village de Startups" includes 30 stands operating in various fields, notably: Sustainable Mobility (Land, Sea, Air), Innovation in the energy field to boost Smartcity and Smartgrid, BioTech, Green Tech, Marine Biotechnology and
green energy.

Energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructures at local level, renewable energy production, synthetic biology, blue economy, high-tech for decarbonising the environment, are some of the topics addressed at the round-table sessions. A special glimpse of digital transition is included with reference to its applications to mobility and traveling as well as motorsport and Formula E lovers. This years' showroom exhibits a «Gen1» from Venturi Formula E Team, the most popular Monegasque team founded by Gildo Pastor, and a «Gen2» from the Nissan e.dams team (currently Nissan Formula E Team).
Present and Future of e-mobility and renewables is the fil rouge of 2023 EVER Monaco.
How will we discover and buy our cars tomorrow? What are the digital tools for certifying vehicle documents? These are the questions of a targeted meeting in view of the upcoming augmented reality ecosystem. ***

EPISODE 7: What does Urban Functional Biodiversity refer to?
How do you feel when you come into contact with the green spaces of your city? Maybe more relaxed, regenerated and energetic! it is not by chance. #Urban Functional #Biodiversity is about various natural #species and their specific functional traits (e.g., nitrogen fixation, pollination, water retention) that maintain #ecosystems and provide essential #services in heavily populated areas. Boosting #climate regulation, favouring flood #control, reducing #pollution, providing recreational spaces and improving human #wellbeing, resilience and health are some of the most significant #benefits they generate.
Being inspired by #Nature’s balance helps #architects, #designers and urban #planners to select vegetation able to optimises specific ecological functions, such as #water infiltration or biodiversity support. Integrating interconnected #green spaces (e.g.: parks, green roofs) and #blue spaces (ponds, wetlands) promotes #habitat connectivity and strengthens urban biodiversity. Moreover, engaging local residents and stakeholders in the planning and management of urban nature, encourages a shared vision of the development of densely inhabited areas, boosting mental and physical health.
Main Strategies for Enhancing Urban Functional Biodiversity are:
· Biodiversity-Sensitive Design]: that is integrating native, multi-functional plant species into urban design, including vertical gardens and green roofs.
· Ecological Restoration: that is actively restoring urban green and blue spaces to enhance habitat diversity and ecological function.
· Inclusive Governance: that is engaging local residents and stakeholders in the planning and management of urban nature.
